Vocabulary 词汇
Congested – unable to breathe comfortably through the nose
Shopping Cart – the metal trolley used to go shopping
Loofah – a shower puff, 浴花
Glossy – shiny
Lip gloss – a coloured, shiny glaze makeup for lips
Lipstick – a coloured makeup for lips
Glaze – we normally use this when talking about desserts (i.e. donuts), a shiny layer of sugar.
Vulnerable – able to be hurt, often used to talk about something unprotected, such as a lone child or a baby animal
Slang – language that is [normally] too informal to write
Ex. “Wassup” instead of “what’s up.”
Expressions 成语
“Putting it all out on the table” means to reveal all secrets and hidden emotions for the purpose of discussion. You can also say “putting it all out there.” The things being discussed are usually negative.
Ex. I want to put it all out on the table. I am seeing another woman.
The phrase “what goes around comes around” refers to the idea of karma. For examples, if I steal your phone this week, someone else will steal my phone next week.
