I always focus on grammar when I come to SE – focus is putting attention on sth, like light shining on the car.

I go to work every day – go is the verb and you arrive at work.
I like to play with my friends – you and your friends are together
she is a friend of mine – in a way, she is part of my friendship
I always try to arrive by 10am when I go to work by car – before the time + using the car
