Vocabulary

intricate – with a lot of detail or very complicated

e.g. The white temple in Thailand looked very intricate.

delicate – easily breakable, fragile

temperate – the weather is very mild

e.g. It’s very temperate outside today.

mild – not too strong or not too intense

e.g. It’s been a very mild winter.

No use crying over spilt milk – Don’t be sad about something that happened in the past and that you cant change

e.g. My cellphone got stolen yesterday, but no use crying over spilt milk.

When the cat’s away, the mice will play – when the person with power has left, the people who normally have to listen to him don’t listen to him anymore

humid – 闷,when the air is wet (weather)

e.g. The air in Shanghai is very humid.

moist – 湿润, something wet
