Vocabulary

puppy love – right after you fall in love with someone. Everything seems perfect and you’re still crazy about each other.  There’s nothing bad.

e.g. Chen and Damon had puppy love when they met.

gardening – working in a garden, taking care of the plants and flowers

e.g. Tanya’s mom loves gardening.

similarities – things that are similar, have similarities.

e.g. Shanghainese and Japanese show a lot of similarities. They’re similar.

The experience of teaching

This morning, my brother visited my home, I taught him how to draw a construction building.

He is an architecture student, but he has never learned to draw, so he has no idea how to draw. Coincidentally, he has an older sister, who is me.

There was an old saying that teaching someone how to do something is more important than helping someone to do something. So I taught my brother step by step and told him why he had to do the steps. 
Sometimes, I think that my husband could share some information to me as a teacher when he finishes a book.

He should summarise all the points of that book and understand its meaning totally, so that he can tell me all the key points of that book. Teaching other is good and useful, it’s something that we should do more.

This morning, my brother visited to my home, I tough him how to draw the picture of building construction. He is a student of building engineer school, but he has never learned drawing, so he has no idea for how to draw it. Coincidence, he has a older sister, who is me.

There was a old saying that teaching how to do is more important than help someone to do. So I tough my brother step by step and told him why we did it at the same time.

Sometimes, I would get a thinking that my husband could share some knowledges to me as a teacher when he finished a book. He should summarize all the points of that book and understand its meaning totally,so that he can outport all key points of that book to me. This is good and useful part of teaching others, which action we should do more and more times.
