acquisition (n) – when one company purchases another company eg: “I’m not too happy with the recent acquisition.” “We were acquired by another company.”
severance – when something has been cut off eg: “My former boss got a severance package when they asked him to leave the company.”
pass on it – have the opportunity to take something, but choose not to. eg: “I passed on the severance package because I wanted to stick with the company.”
role – the position or list of responsibilities eg: “In my life I have to be many roles, like a daughter, a mother and an employee.”
do a lot of job – fill a lot of roles at work
help him on – help him with

hassle – something inconvenient that you think you don’t need to do eg: “It’s kind of a hassle to carry around a professional(DSLR) camera.”
