Vocabulary

Repair (v): 1- to make something that isn’t working work again.
E.g.: I broke my iPhone, so I took it to the Apple Store to get it repaired.

Mechanic (n): 1- a person who fixes cars and other machines.
E.g.: My car broke down, so I took it to the mechanic.

Garage (n): 1- a building where a car is kept, built next to or as part of a house. 2- a place where cars are repaired.
E.g.: Did you put the car in the garage?
E.g.: The car’s still at the garage getting fixed.

Take off (v): 1- If an airplane, bird, or insect takes off, it leaves the ground and begins to fly:
E.g.: The plane took off at 8.30 a.m.

Land (v): 1- to (cause to) arrive on the ground or other surface after moving down through the air:
E.g.: His plane  will land in Madrid at 7 a.m.
