Vocabulary

quiet – not loud/ not much noise

eg: “It is very quiet in here today.”

mistake n. – something that is wrong/ not correct

eg: “When I first started working I made some mistakes.

barely adv. – enough, but not much

eg; “I barely have enough money for dinner. So I can’t go to KTV after.”

rarely – not often, almost never

“I rarely drink.” “I rarely take a taxi to work, I usually take the metro.”

rare – uncommon – bu putong de

“She has a lot of rare jewelery.”

perfect adj.

perfection n. – state of being perfect

eg: “Perfection is hard to achieve.”

perfectionist n. – person who wants everything they do to be perfect

eg: “I’m a perfectionist, i don’t like to make mistakes.” “I’m kind of a perfectionist.”
