Vocabulary

Laos – 老挝

Majority – more than half

e.g. The majority of Chinese people will go abroad with an organisation.

high turnover

e.g. A lot of employees get fired all the time and a lot of employees get hired all the time. This company has high turnover.

I ate in Japan restaurant – I ate in a Japanese (all-you-can-eat) restaurant

It’s my first time to travel abroad – It’s my first time travelling abroad

They can’t keep their employee work in this company – They can’t keep their employees to stay in this company

Grammar

My eyelashes were cheaper than yours.

  • cheap – 便宜
  • cheaper – 更便宜
  • cheapest – 最便宜

to sit  – sat (past tense)

e.g. I just sat there and ate a lot of ice cream.

I wanted to hang out in local market

  • the local market (specific)
  • local markets (in general: you want to hang out in markets -> plural)

Difference: to find/to search

  • you search something and if you have what you were searching for, you’ve found it
  • to search – 找东西
  • to find/to look for – 找到了
