Vocabulary

To work out – (verb) to exercise

Sprain – to injure by twisting

Ex. Yesterday I sprained my ankle while working out.

Ice – (noun or verb)

Ex. The best way to heal a sprained ankle is to ice it regularly.

Swollen – red and puffy because of injury

Horoscope – a person’s sign based on birthday

Aquarius – the water horoscope, 宝瓶

Constellation – a shape made from the stars, 星座

Over-analytical – someone who thinks too much (adjective)

Ex. I’m a Pisces, which means I’m over-analytical.

Grammar

The word gym is only a noun.

When we talk about people, we should use the word “who,” not “which.”

Ex. The person who like me…. NOT the person which likes me.

Refugee – a person who leaves a country because of bad circumstances, 难民

Jordan – 约旦

Arabic Numerals – 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8, and 9

Phrases

The phrase God willing means “hopefully.”
