Vocabulary

Alternative (n): 1- one of two or more available possibilities. 2- different from the mainstream.
E.g.: I really like listening to alternative music.

Record label (n): 1- a company that produces and sells records, CDs, and recordings
E.g.: Record labels care more about making music that sells than about making good music.

Metaphor (n): 1- a word or phrase for one thing that is used to refer to another thing in order to show or suggest that they are similar
E.g.: He used metaphors to make his point easier to understand.

Formality (n): 1- something that is required or usual but that has little true meaning or importance.
E.g.: Some people see it just as a formality and not really necessary.
