Vocabulary


Hands-on – physical

Ex. Many training school prefer hands-on exercises over bookwork.

High-profile – important, of high status

Ex. I have high-profile clients (my clients are very rich, famous, important, etc).

Palestine – 巴勒斯坦

Cardinal directions – north, south, east, and west

Gap year – a year that students take off between high school and university

Pepperoni – a king of salami, usually used on pizza

Flour – 面粉

Crust – the edge of a pizza

Bell Pepper – 灯笼椒

Olives – 橄榄

Toppings – ingredients that you put on top of something, usually pizza or ice cream.

Ex. Some pizza toppings are pepperoni, olives, and bell peppers. Some ice cream toppings are cookies, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, etc.
