Playing Poker
Rachel hated being a waitress and was sick of being calledâ€Excuse meâ€, so she sent many resumes out for interviews. A few days later, she got/scored an interview from Saks Fifth Avenue.

In Central Perk Cafe, Ross, Joey and Chandler were talking about playing poker last night. Monica, Phoebe and Rachel asked why didn’t anybody invite them. They wanted to play poker as well. The men/guys hesitated but agreed to teach them. Later in Monica’s apartment, they started to deal the cards and play for real. But at last, all of the women/Monica, Phoebe and Rachel lost and had to pay the men/guys money. The next day Monica asked her Aunt Iris to teach them how to play poker. They learned many poker game skills and even could shuffle the cards very well. But they lost again when they played with Ross, Joey and Chandler.

What’s worse, Rachel received a phone call and was told she didn’t get the job when they were playing in the third round. She felt rather depressed and disappointed so she went on playing the game more crazily. Ross wanted to make Rachel happy and deliberately lost to her.

Finally, Rachel won the game. She opened a bottle of wine and cheered with Monica and Phoebe. She was very excited and even forgot about the bad interview.

In Central Perk Cafe, Ross, Joey and Chandler were bragging about playing poker last night. Monica, Phoebe and Rachel demanded why didn’t anybody invite them. They wanted to play poker as well. The men/guys hesitated but agreed to teach them. Later in Monica’s apartment, they started to deal the cards and play for real. But at last, all of the women/Monica, Phoebe and Rachel lost and had to cough up/fork over/hand over/pay up the money.  The next day Monica asked her Aunt Iris to teach them how to play poker. They learned many skills and even could shuffle the cards very well. But they lost again when they played against the guys.

What’s worse, Rachel received a phone call and was told she didn’t get hired when they were playing in the third round. She felt rather depressed and disappointed so she went on playing the game like a mad/crazy/wild woman. Ross wanted to cheer Rachel up/make her smile/put a smile on her face, so he deliberately lost to her.
