Writing exercise

Edited:

It is difficult to understand how our brain works and why people have some behaviours that are not common in our society.
I personally think that every mental disorder appears for a specific reason. These disorders develop in order to give to the person a way to disconnect from their real problems.
Sometimes it seems easier to concentrate all your efforts on avoiding the real issue and instead focus on short term benefits. For example addiction, eating disorders or OCD?
The people who suffer from these kind of disorders always prefer the benefits of their bad habits instead of staying mentally healthy. I’m sure sometimes it is more difficult to face life’s problems than to change their unhealthy behaviours.
