Which is the most important? If you ask me, here is how I rate them:

Pronunciation is the most important thing, confidence is the second most important thing, vocabulary is third most important, and grammar is the least important.

Corrections (original – corrected)


I’m working from morning ‘till evening – I worked all day long

My hobbies is travel – my hobbies are traveling, eating, and sleeping

Of course I visit (past) – of course I visited

The people is very kindly – the people are very kind

If you ask a question very fast I don’t understand your meaning – when they asked questions too fast I didn’t understand what they meant

Always I need to speak in English to buy something – I always had/needed to use English while shopping

Please directions – could you please give me directions to [someplace]

 

Vocabulary 词汇


Pagoda – a tall temple structure, 塔

Ex. When I visited Bangkok, I saw many pagodas.

Palestine – A small Middle-Eastern country located in-between Israel, Egypt, and Jordan (约旦), 巴勒斯坦

Ex. Palestine has one of the longest histories in the world.

Arabic – a language spoken by most Middle Eastern countries, 阿拉伯语

Ex. Many people consider Arabic to be one of the hardest languages to learn.

Lamb – 羊肉

Ex. Most Middle-Eastern food is based on lamb.

Rude – unwelcoming, mean

Ex. When I asked Australians for help, not even one person was rude toward me.

Grammar 语法


The word “when” can either be a question word (什么时候) or a indication of time (的时候).

Ex. When did you go to Bangkok?

Ex. When you went to Bangkok, did you visit any other places? (When you went to Bangkok… = 你去泰国的时候…)

Expressions 成语


To “bring something up” means to raise (提) a topic.

Ex. Don’t bring it up. (别提了)

Just (short “u” sound, as in “run”)
