Permit (n): 1- an official document that allows you to do something or go somewhere.
E.g.: They weren’t allowed to build anything without a permit from the government.

Cause (n): 1- something (such as an organization, belief, idea, or goal) that a group or people support or fight for.
E.g.: She’s very charitable and always try to support different social causes.

Advocate (n): 1- a person who argues for or supports a cause or policy.
E.g.: He is a very passionate advocate for Human Rights.

Repression (n): 1- the act of using force to control someone or something.
E.g.: They suffered repression for their political advocacy.


German sociologist Max Weber defines the state as a “human community that (successfully) claims the monopoly of the legitimate use of physical force within a given territory.”
