My first going abroad was in 2008 – My first time going abroad was in 2008 /the first time I went abroad was in 2008

Swizz land – Switzerland , Swit zer land   (anything coming from Switzerland  is Swizz,  It can be people, products, cheese etc. Swizz cheese).

I can’t outside at night–  I can’t go outside at night. / I didn’t dare to go outside alone at night when I went to Paris.

Talking about Turkish men:

Forward – Not afraid to approach people, very pushy, talkative, in your face, won’t leave you alone (But not only used as a negative,  I’m considered Forward for being social and confident around people (not shy))

When I went to Turkey I found the men very forward and blunt in their interactions towards women.  

Blunt – Tell it like it is, no filter, when people say exactly what’s on their mind – e.g. I hate your shoes! Instead of “they are not really in my taste”

Because we get a very cheap ticket – we got a very cheap ticket (past tense)

Hot air balloon – A hot air balloon is a lighter than air aircraft consisting of a bag called the envelope that is capable of containing heated air. Suspended beneath is a gondola or wicker basket (in some long-distance or high-altitude balloons, a capsule), which carries passengers and (usually) a source of heat, in most cases an open flame.

When I visited Turkey we went to a place where you could rent a hot air balloon for the day.
