mantra  ( mon – truh ) n. – an often repeated word, formula, or phrase / personal phrase

eg. My mantra is to be better than yesterday.

Sometimes we feel down / desperate / depressed and we need somthing to pick us up. 

independent adj. – to not rely on sb or sth

want to – would like (more polite)

eg. Would you like to go on a date tonight? – Yes, I would like to go on a date tonight.

eg. Would you like some coffee? – Yes, I would like some coffee.

romance (noun) vs. romantic (adjective)

go out / going out / went out / will go out –  romantic relationship with a guy OR doing sth fun with your friends

eg. I’m going out with him tonight. – romantic

eg. I have been going out with her for 10 months. – R

eg. We went out for 2 years but broke up last month. -R

eg. I’m going out with my friends this weekend. –

ask out = romantic situation to ask sb to spend tine with you
