Recently, a lot of foreign friends around me fell in love with tea.which, by the way, I also like drinking tea. I believe  tea can enhance the   mood and for my friends,whether it’s the caffeine or the tradition that brings their closer together, tea has become a ＊tool to strengthen relationships. In my words,It is call that do in Rome as Rome does.

For my friend’s, whether it’s the caffeine or the tradition that brings them closer together, tea has become a tool to strengthen relationships. In other words/in my opinion, It is called “when in Rome do as the romans do.”

Eg.  A lot of my foreign friend’s have fallen in love with tea.  (no need for around, because we know already that they are your friends.)

Caffeine (ka – feen)

Strengthen (strengk – thun)

“Grab some food”/”grab a bite to eat”

get some drinks/ have some drinks/ go for drinks

I don’t had to do anything tonight – I don’t have to do anything today/I don’t have to do anything tonight.

I don’t want to do anything….

Afternoon tea:  around 4pm, light snacks and tea.  Doesn’t replace dinner.

High tea:  around 5-6pm, heavier food (steaks etc.) and can replace dinner.

It have caffeine – it has caffeine

High – tolerance:  you can handle a lot of something.

Eg.  I have a high –tolerance for caffeine, so I never have problems sleeping.

Low-tolerance:  you can’t handle a lot of something.

Eg.   I have a low-tolerance for people who smoke.

Eg.  I can’t stand people who smoke.

“I need to use the john”

• I need to use the bathroom (Canadian)
• I need to use the restroom (American)
• I need to use the powder room (both — guest bathroom)
• Where is the WC? (international)

“I have to emergency pee”

water closet:  WC (british or sth)

Number 1 – pee

Number 2 – poop

“I have to go number 2”
