Eg. I chose a gift this morning.

Eg.  I will choose a good boyfriend

Eg.  I am choosing a boyfriend.

Eg.  I am still choosing a boyfriend.

Cloth (clawth)

Skinny = thin: more acceptable socially. 

Reputation:  what other people think of you.

Fat/heavy/wide/ big/big-boned/heavyset/ bigger

Eg.  Try not to use fat or wide when describing other people (impolite in western culture.)

An interview to a pharmaceutical company – an interview with a ….

He can let him or her to his team – he can hire him/her for his team.

I haven’t confidence of my classmate – I don’t have confidence in my classmate

I want to let them all happy – I want they are all happy – I want them to all be happy/ I want to make them all happy

If you are always happiness in your life/ in your work – if you are always happy

Many parents want their children in a innocent environment – want their children to live in an innocent environment/simple environment.

Naïve (nay –eve): without experience, foolish, innocent.

Juvenile (joo – ven – iyul):  (noun) a young person. (adj.)  immature/childish.

Eg.  She is very juvenile.  (adj.)

Eg.  She is a juvenile.  (noun)

Impulsive: makes decisions without thinking.

Affect:  to produce change.

Eg.  It will affect my reputation

“ignorance is bliss”:  if you don’t know any better/anything else you will be happy./ a fool is always happy.

ignorance 无知 :  not knowing any better.

Bliss:  extreme happiness.

Bored/boredom:  not having fun/nothing to do.

Compromise:  when both parties decides on one fair decision.

Eg.  Harmony doesn’t want to stay in China, Ryan wants to stay in china.

Our compromise was that Harmony gets another kitten (baby cat), and we wait until it’s old enough to travel.
