Vocabulary

I have studied before in the past – I have studied / I studied – Past tense already implied.

A few people can do that – Not many people can do that / only some people can do that  – “A few” is not a clear measure for a group of people “A few people live in China” or “I invited a few friends for dinner” have different implied meanings, this can be avoided.

I talk with clients – Deal with – Can be used to explain your role at work “I deal with clients” or “I don’t want to deal with my supplier today.” These are more descriptive that you provide some solution in your interactions.

Have you heard them?- Have you heard of them?/ Have you heard about them?

Have you bought them? – Have you bought their product?

Ambidextrous – The ability to use both Left and Right hand for a task.

Relevant – Something that is specific and useful to the discussion/ leaning.

Exposure – Watching/ Listening/ Tasting/ Touching/ Trying something to gain experience.
example: By listening to English speaking movies the student increased their exposure to the language.

Homework

 Gain insight and be able to discuss changes in European luxury industry by finding out what “Brexit” and “French election – Frexit” might cause.
