tolerance – how well you handle something

e.g. Dexter’s tolerance for alcohol is very low. He always turns red after two bottles of beer.

pudding (pronunciation)

e.g. Dexter loves to eat sweet things, such as pudding.

bubble tea – tea with Chinese style jelly bubbles in it

e.g. At Coco they sell a lot of bubble tea.

foodie – someone who is really into food

e.g. Some people always talk about food and go to expensive restaurants to try new foods. These people are foodies.

Opening sequence – the first scene of a movie

e.g. The opening sequence in the newest Tarantino movie was too slow for Tanya.

Proper (pronunciation)

The man who got three times Oscars – The man who won an Oscar three times.

Method acting – when an actor acts like his movie persona both off-stage and on-stage.

e.g. Daniel-Day Lewis is a famous method actor.

He wear something very heavy around his body  – He wore something very heavy around his body (past tense)

Buff – very muscular

e.g. Some male actors have to get very buff for a movie role. For example: Christian Bale for Batman.

Soundtrack – the music of a movie

e.g. Quentin Tarantino uses a lot of music from Ennio Morricone in his movie soundtracks.
