Pronunciation

to drive out – to aggressively get people out of somewhere

e.g. Trump’s message is “drive them out”. He wants to get rid of the immigrants.

a range – a variety of something, different products but usually there’s something that connects them

e.g. This skincare range targets wrinkles. A skincare range = moisturiser, cleanser, ….

to target – to aim (at)

to take offense – to be offended

e.g. I take offense = I am offended. I take what you say as an insult.

to call on – to ask people to do somehthing

e.g. They called on people to cancel the dog-meat festival.

hypocrite – someone who criticises someone for doing something, but does the thing himself

e.g. Tom always tells people not to lie but he always lies himself.

plastic bag – 塑胶袋

e.g. We should all use plastic bags less.

growl – animal soup
