Hometown

  1. What’s the name of your hometown? Is that a big city or a small place? The name of my hometown is called Ningbo. It is about 3 hours by car south of Shanghai. It is a big city but it is smaller than Shanghai. My hometown Ningbo is famous for peaches and tangyuan which is glutinous rice balls filled with sesame paste.

4. How long have you been living there? I don’t live in Ningbo anymore but I lived there for 15 years before I moved to Shanghai in 2013.

5. Do you like your hometown? What do you like most about your hometown?  Yes, I love my hometown because there is a lot of amazing traditional food like niangao which is Chinese New Year’s Cake which is made of glutinous rice. Also, the local people are very nice. My favorite thing about my hometown is the air because my hometown has many mountains and the air is extremely clean.
