Writing exercise

I never thought I would take English class after growed up. I always felt that English can be easily improved during my daily work. After all , I need to use it everyday.
But the truth is that although I am using English everyday, I can still feel my English is worse everyday.
Why is that? I think there are 2 reasons:
1. When I use English in my work, the vocabulary and sentences are  in a range , which means I’m only familiar with certain of topics I ‘m dealing with everyday.
2. In our company , we  prefer to face to face talk or at least make a call rather than writing emails. Thus I barely write long articles and emails in my work these years.  And for oral English , as most of my colleague are Chinese , I don’t really have a lot of chances to speak English .

I discussed it with my boss during the middle yearly review and I asked for his support. He suggested me to find a training center to learn English again.

After demo of a lot of English training classes, I chose SE as it is fit for me from the way they teach as well as the location is very near my company.

When I am study in SE, I am able to speak and write in English more often.  I think it is great that I start to focus on grammar and pronunciation again . You know people are always underestimate the accuracy of the grammar .  They think as long as the foreigners can understand what we are talking about , the rest are not important. But in SE , my teachers make me understand why grammars are important. In China , we often think grammar is just something we have to remember, but for English people , it is  the way they are thinking . So if the grammar is messed up, it will make English people confused.

My goal for English Study is to become a native speaker and be able to write official and casual article in work and life. I know that I still have a lot of work to do, but I have great confidence that I will make more progress with my teachers in SE!

I never thought I would take English classes after growing up/ I grew up. I always felt that English can be easily improved especially because I work at an international company /while working. (After all, I need to use it everyday.)
But the truth is that although I am using English everyday, I can still feel my English gets worse everyday.
Why is that? I think there are 2 reasons:
1. When I use English at work, the vocabulary and sentences are work related/based , which means I’m only familiar with certain topics.
2. In my company, we  prefer to talk face to face or at least make a call rather than writing emails. Thus for years, I have barely written long articles and emails at work.  And for oral English, as most of my colleague are Chinese , I don’t really have a lot of chances to speak English.

I discussed it with my boss during my mid yearly review and I asked for his support. He suggested me to find a training center to learn English again.

After a lot of English training demos, I chose SE as it is fit for me from the way they teach as well as the location is very close to my company.

When I am studying in SE, I am able to speak and write in English more often.  I think it is great that I started to focus on grammar and pronunciation again. In China , we often think grammar is just something we have to remember, but for English people , it is  the way they are thinking . So if the grammar is messed up, it will make English people confused.

My goal for English Study is to become a native speaker and be able to write official and casual article in work and life. I think first of all, I’m trying to write every email in English and for each time I will write it serious to consider all the grammar and vocabulary. Of course I need to take more classes but it might be a problem because I’m changing my job. For listening, maybe I can see more English movies without subtitles.  I know that I still have a lot of work to do, but I have great confidence that I will make more progress with my teachers in SE!
