Vocabulary

Find (v): 1- to discover, especially where a thing or person is, either unexpectedly or by searching, or to discover where to get or how to achieve something.
E.g.: I’ve just found a ten-dollar note in my pocket.

Find out (v): 1- to get information about something because you want to know more about it, or to learn a fact or piece of information for the first time.
E.g.: How did you find out about the party?

Feminism (n): 1- the belief that women should be allowed the same rights, power, and opportunities as men and be treated in the same way, or the set of activities intended to achieve this state.
E.g.: She had a lifelong commitment to feminism.

Historian (n): 1- someone who writes about or studies history.
E.g.: Her father was an famous historian.

Accomplishment (n): 1- something that is successful, or that is achieved after a lot of work or effort:
E.g.: Getting the two leaders to sign a peace treaty was his greatest accomplishment.

Pioneer (n): 1- a person who is one of the first people to do something:
E.g.: He was one of the pioneers of modern science.

Dwindle (v): 1- to become smaller in size or amount, or fewer in number.
E.g.: The community has dwindled to a tenth of its former size in the last two years.

Momentum (n): 1- the force that keeps an object moving or keeps an event developing after it has started:
E.g.: Once you push it, it keeps going under its own momentum.
