Vocabulary

Flexible (adj): 1- able to change or be changed easily according to the situation. 2- able to bend or to be bent easily without breaking:
E.g.: My schedule is flexible – I could arrange to meet with you any day next week.
E.g.: Rubber is a flexible material.
E.g.: Dancers and gymnasts need to be very flexible (= able to bend their bodies easily).

Gymnastics (n): 1- physical exercises and activities performed inside, often using equipment such as bars and ropes, intended to increase the body’s strength and the ability to move and bend easily.
E.g.: The US women’s gymnastics team just won the gold medal.

Memory (n): 1- the ability to remember information, experiences, and people. 2- something that you remember from the past.
E.g.: After the accident he suffered from loss of memory.
E.g.: I have very clear memories of that evening.

Abroad (adv): 1- in or to a foreign country or countries.
E.g.: He’s currently abroad on business.

Mindset (n): 1- a person’s way of thinking and their opinions:
E.g.: It is very hard to change the mindset of the public and the press.

Fixed (adj): 1- not able to be changed.
E.g.: Is the date of the wedding fixed yet?

Fix (v): 1- to repair something.
E.g.: They couldn’t fix my old computer, so I bought a new one.

Miserable (adj): 1- very unhappy. 2- unpleasant and causing unhappiness:
E.g.: She’s miserable living on her own.
E.g.: What a miserable existence! How could anyone live in such awful conditions?
