Progressive (adj): 1- Progressive ideas or systems are new and modern, encouraging change in society or in the way that things are done.
E.g.: The left of the party is pressing for a more progressive social policy.

Conservative (adj): 1- not usually liking or trusting change, especially sudden change.
E.g.: Older people tend to be more conservative and a bit suspicious of anything new.

Solicitation (n): 1- a request for money, information, or help. (v. Solicit)
E.g.: The solicitation is directed only to accredited investors.

Ample (adj): 1- more than enough. 2- If the shape of someone’s body or a part of their body is ample, it is large:
her ample bosom
E.g.: You’ll have ample opportunity to ask questions after the talk.
E.g.: His ample girth (= his big stomach) was clear evidence of his passion for food.

Liberal (adj): 1- (of a political party, a part of society, or a country) believing in or allowing more personal freedom and development towards a fairer sharing of wealth and power within society
E.g.: Liberals are protesting against the new law.

Affair (n): 1- a sexual relationship, especially a secret one.
E.g.: She’s having an affair with a married man.

Globalism (n): 1-  ​the idea that events in one country cannot be separated from those in another and that economic and foreign policy should be planned in an international way.
E.g.: He’s a firm believer of globalism.

Globalization (n): 1- the increase of trade around the world, especially by large companies producing and trading goods in many different countries.
E.g.: We must take advantage of the increased globalization of the commodity trading business.
