Vocabulary 词汇

Satisfied – pleased, happy, 满意

Ex. I am satisfied with my job.

Spaghetti – an Italian dish made with long noodles and marinara sauce (tomato sauce).

Ex. Spaghetti is a very difficult food to eat.

Lasagna – an Italian dish made from layers of flat pasta and cheese.

Ex. It’s a tradition of mine to go to Blue Frog every week for their Lasagna.

Atmosphere – the environment in a place, 气氛

Ex. In my opinion, a restaurant’s atmosphere is more important than its food.

Strait – a small body of water that connects two larger bodies of water

Ex. A strait separates Hong Kong from mainland China.

The word “tomboy” is used to describe a girl who acts and dresses like a boy. This word is not always an insult, but it can be used in a mean way. It is often used to talk about a person’s fashion.
