Vocabulary

Carbonated – a drink that has bubbles inside
Ex. My favorite carbonated drinks are Coca-Cola, Sprite, and Fanta.

Fizzy – creates sound and white bubbles when you pour it
Ex. Sometimes fizzy drinks spill when you pour them because the bubbles go so high.

To pout something on – to wear something
Ex. Before I go outside, I like to put my Santa watch on.

Earrings – small pieces of metal or stone that we wear in our ears
Ex. Normally girls wear earrings, but boys can wear them, too.

Earlobe – the bottom part of the ear where we wear earrings
Ex. If you wear heavy earrings, you earlobes may grow long.

Pierce – to make a hole in something
Ex. I can’t wear earrings because my ears aren’t pierced.

Vacation – holiday
Ex. Generally speaking, school’s have both a winter and summer vacation.
