Vocabulary

Start-ups – very new companies that need investment

a green space – a space with lots of greenery (plants, trees, grass, …)

to tan (verb) – to sit in the sun and get a darker (tan) skin color

e.g. A lot of Western people like to tan.

a tan – a darker skin color (bc of the sun)

e.g. Look at my tan! I just spent two weeks tanning on the beach.

tanning bed – a sort of bed with special UV lights and a cover you lie in and you get tan

e.g. Don’t forget to put on sunscreen when you get in a tanning bed!

genes – 基因

wrinkles – 皱纹

to put on sunscreen

She is rare to get beach (他没有很多机会去海边）-> She can rarely go to the beach （他没办法/偶尔有办法去海边）
