Can you ever be friends with your ex? From one of my friends’ perspective, to be friends with your ex is something that should never ever been entertained. But I think it is possible.

You’ve just spent months or years together with one person. You’ve made memories, laughed, and loved. And then for some reason you called it off. The direct way of dealing with this is to cut them out of your life, but it is also possible that you two can try to stay friends. After all, you started this relationship because you like this person, at least some parts of this person. It is a pity that you will be strangers after you break up with them.

I think the most important question is you should know what your honest intention is. Do you still want to get back together with your ex? If you have a positive answer for this question or similar questions, it might be better to keep distance with your ex, otherwise you can never move on. If your answer is no, then it sounds like you’re ready to actually give being “just friends†a shot.
