Tom Hanks is one of my favorite actors, who makes every movie he is in wonderful. Today I’m going to talk about a new released one, Sully, in which the story was from reality
On January 15, 2009, a passenger flight encountered a bird strike 3 minutes after taking off from New York’s LaGuardia Airport, and both engines were destroyed. Captain Sullenberger who didn’t think there was enough time to fly back to the airport, landed the flight on Hudson River. All 155 people on board, including passengers and the crew, survived. No fatality and only one lady injured, according to the movie. People call this incident the “miracle on the Hudson.”
There are two scenes impressed me deeply.
No.1, when Sully got on land, he asked his crew to count the survivors. Then he was sent to a hospital and still desperately waiting for the number. After a while, an office in the airline company told him, ”it’s 155.” and he was so relieved. We can see that he was not only experienced but also responsible and this is why he was the last one to leave and he checked the cabin twice to see if there was someone else before he got out of the flight.
NO.2, a journalist asked him “Don’t you think it’s very dangerous that a plane crashed on water?” “Landed” said Sully, “I landed the plane on water. My intuition told me I had to do it.” The journalist said :”I’m happy that your intuition was right and the outcome was desirable. But there is still a big if. ” Be querying by the research group and the medium made him very anxious and pressured. They vilified him and made him doubt himself because data showed there was enough time to go back and land in the airport. However, people who just had a near death experience believed deeply that he is a big hero.

Tom Hanks is one of my favorite actors, who makes every movie he is in wonderful. Today I’m going to talk about a newly released one, “Sully,” which is based on a true story.
On January 15, 2009, a passenger flight encountered a bird strike 3 minutes after taking off from New York’s LaGuardia Airport, and both engines were destroyed. Captain Sullenberger, who didn’t think there was enough time to fly back to the airport, landed the flight on the Hudson River. All 155 people on board survived, including passengers and the crew. There were no fatalities and only one lady was injured, according to the movie. People call this incident the “miracle on the Hudson.”
There were two scenes that impressed me deeply.
In the first one Sully insists his crew count the survivors, but they were sent to a hospital instead. Sully desperately waited at the hospital to hear back from the officer on the scene. After a while, an officer in the airline company told him, ”it’s 155.” and he was so relieved. We can see that he was not only experienced but also responsible. This is why he was the last one to leave and he checked the cabin twice to see if there was someone else before he got off the plane.
In the second one, a journalist asked him “Don’t you think it’s very dangerous that a plane crashed on water?” “Landed” said Sully, “I landed the plane on water. My intuition told me I had to do it.” The journalist said :”I’m happy that your intuition was right and the outcome was desirable. But there is still a big if. ” Being questioned by the investigative committee and the media made him very anxious and overwhelmed. They vilified him and made him doubt himself, because data showed there was enough time to go back and land at the airport. However, people who just had a near death experience believed deeply that he is a big hero.
