Compound (n): 1- an open area enclosed by a fence or wall, for example around a factory, one of more residential buildings, etc.. 2- something that is made up or consists of several parts or elements.
E.g.:
There are 4 buildings in my compound.

Bond (v): 1- establish a relationship with someone based on shared feelings, interests, or experiences.
E.g.: Parents who are too busy to play with their children have a harder time bonding with them.

Social Norms (n): 1- the rules of behavior that are considered acceptable in a group or society.
E.g.: Social norms vary between countries and tend to change with time.

Conservative (adj): 1- holding to traditional attitudes and values and cautious about change or innovation, typically in relation to politics or religion. 2- a person who is averse to change and holds to traditional values and attitudes, typically in relation to politics. 3- (of dress or taste) sober and conventional.
E.g.: He has very conservative views on marriage and how to build a family.

Progressive (adj): 1- a group, person, or idea that favors or implements social reform or new, liberal ideas.
E.g.: People who live in urban areas tend to be more progressive than those who live in the countryside.
