Vocabulary

Advanced Placement – AP classes

Honors Classes – Higher Level

defense mechanism – a behavior created to protect yourself, a process in the brain that makes you forget or ignore painful or disturbing thoughts, situations, etc.

eg: She is projecting her anger on you as a defense mechanism.

stuck up ADJ. – acting unfriendly towards other people because you think you are better than they are

eg: Maybe he’s being stuck up because he’s actually nervous

Weighted Grades – You end up with a higher GPA, because it was higher level course than normal

eg: Because of the weighted grades I got a 4.5 GPA.

Cost Prohibitive – Cost is too high, so it stops you from doing it

eg: Using real ice cream to make milkshakes was cost prohibitive for McDonalds.
