I write a short story every day.

I have written hundreds of short stories in my life.

E.g.

B: I hear ya, brother. (I am or was in a similar situation)

my grandmother’s mother = my great grandmother

the (weather) forecast =

E.g. According to the weather forecast, we are in for three consecutive days of rain.

to be in for something = to have something come up / this is what will happen

E.g. If you think a visit to Disneyland is all fun, you’re in for a big surprise.

consecutive adj = one after the other

E.g. I had three days off last week, but they were not consecutive, so I could not travel anywhere.

persistent一贯

E.g. He failed many times, but he was a very persistent man, so eventually he succeeded.
She struggled with a persistent cough for about a week.
