Mid-autumn festival
August 15th is Mid –autumn festival, I don’t know when this holiday started but there is a beautiful story about its origin involving chang’e and hou yi. The summary of the story is that Chang’e ate an pill that made her immortal and then was sent to the moon to live there forever. She couldn’t see houyi any more but because their love touched the heart of the Queen Mother of the west, she allowed them to meet each other on August 15th . On this day, people usually return home to get together with their families and eat mooncakes, people usually eat moon cakes whilst enjoying the beauty of the moon. However, I don’t like eating moon cakes, they’re too rich. Instead, I prefer to just appreciate the moon.

Lunar august 15th is Mid –autumn festival, I don’t know when the start of this day, but there is a beautiful story about chang’e and hou yi. The summary is Chang’e ate an immortal pill , then went to the moon and lived there ,she couldn’t see houyi any `more, but with houyi’s love touched the Queen Mother of the west, she allowed they can met each other on Lunar august 15th . So in this day, people usually come back from everywhere to get together with their families and you can see different kinds of moon cakes in supermarket, they eat moon cakes while enjoy the beauty of the moon, it’s a traditional day . But I don’t like the moon cakes ,it’s too rich. Instead of that,I like to appreciate the moon more .
