Vocabulary

keep up – stay at the speed of everyone else

eg: “When they walked home he couldn’t keep up, because they all walked so fast.”

sweat N.  – water coming out of your skin when you’re too hot

eg: “Do you sweat (V.) a lot in the summer.”

coat – a thick jacket

eg: “You need to wear a coat in the winter.”

have to – there is an obligation to do it

eg: “I have to work at 9am.”

day off – free day, no work, no school

eg: “I had to ask my boss for a day off.”

Grammar

I stopped practicing English

I started eating lunch

I need to lose my weight (don’t need to say, because you can’t lose other people’s weight)

My trainer helped me lose my weight (don’t need to say)

He had a terrible virus in his body (don’t need to say)

they have a house in GZ (because they still have it)

they had (they don’t have it now)

had to ask (had is already past tense) (ask is the auxiliary(second) verb)
