Corrections
One and a half hour arrive the company – One and a half hours to arrive at the company
I have less than half year – I have less than half a year left
Maybe my father have been to America – Maybe my father has been to America
A follow group – a tour group
Vocabulary
Gap year – a year the people take to rest, not work or study. This is most often used to describe a year of rest before going to college
Commute – the journey from home to school or work
Ex. My commute to work was one and a half hours.
Except – besides
Semester – an academic term, 学期
Rickshaw – a small taxi that is usually illegal, 三轮
Awe – amazement, but used casually to express appreciation of something cute
Ex. Awe, you got me flowers!
Awesome – really cool
Grammar
When we are giving numbers of things, if the number is bigger than one, the noun must be plural*.
Ex. One hour vs one and a half hours
*Note: there are some exceptions, like fish (one fish, five fish, ten fish)
Phrases
Don’t beat yourself up/don’t be so hard on yourself – love yourself a little more
Pronunciation
English (remember to pronounce the “L” sound instead of an “R” sound)
Poor (remember to not say “pro”)
Rickshaw (“shaw” sounds like “awe”)
