Grammar

the = only use this if you NEED to be MORE specific

at – short time / specific / a point (time)
eg. at 5pm I will go to work
on – a bit longer time / on top (day)
eg. I came home at 4pm on Monday
in – a long time / a period / inside (month / year / the morning)
eg. I always go overseas in winter, which is in December.

Vocabulary

expecting – you think it should happen / if it doesn’t, you’re not happy
eg. my teacher gives me homework and expects me to do it
looking forward to doing sth – you’re excited about sth happening in the future
eg. i’m really looking forward to christmas
