I have not gotten used to bringing different cards because it was so convenient that mobile can handle most things in mainland China. I am aware that I was too exhausted from commuting daily to become less conscious of my behaviors. I lost my wallet last Sunday when I returned from the walk beside the beach. When I noticed I could not find my purse, I hoped that it was in my office or somewhere else. After one week of looking for it in different places where I might have been, I gradually accepted that I had lost my wallet and needed to do the following process as soon as possible. Luckily, I put my passport in another drawer and successfully applied it before coming to HK. Thus, I used my passport as evidence to sign the rental contract, applied for the bank card, and asked HR to transfer the salary to the new card. The following days become a good chance for me to learn about the different functions of the HK government. These days I have to check whether the shop can accept mobile Alipay before I consume. My friend gave me a cheque to pay for my rent, and the agent of the rental center also offered me a cheque in case I didn’t have money because my friend introduced him. Gradually, I felt a bit settled down in Hongkong and started to feel familiar and close to this place.

I have not gotten used to bringing different cards around with me because it is so convenient that mobiles can handle most things in mainland China. I am aware that I was too exhausted from commuting daily and so became less conscious / aware of my behavior. I lost my wallet last Sunday when I returned from a walk beside the beach / along the beach. When I noticed I could not find my purse, I hoped that it was in my office or somewhere else. After one week of looking for it in different places where I thought I might have been, I gradually accepted that I had lost my wallet and needed to do the following process as soon as possible. Luckily, I put my passport in another drawer and had successfully applied for it before coming to HK. Thus, I used my passport as evidence to sign the rental contract, applied for the bank card, and asked HR to transfer the salary to the new card. The following days became a good chance for me to learn about the different functions of the HK government. These days I have to check whether shops can accept mobile Alipay before I buy anything. My friend gave me a cheque to pay for my rent, and the agent of the rental center also offered me a cheque in case I didn’t have money because my friend introduced him (the logic here doesn’t work – let’s discuss in class). Gradually, I felt a bit settled down in Hongkong and started to feel familiar and close to this place.
