For one’s own good

When I was a kid, my parents always told me what to do or not to do many things for my own good. Did I follow their instructions at 100? Of course not, because I had already learnt no one is always right.

Besides, the world is always changing. Theories worked for their generation, but that doesn’t mean they will work for ours.

Now I’m an adult. It’s time to fairly judge if the list of things to do and not to do is right or wrong.

Well, looking back, I can say 99% are right.
(99% of who?)

Why not? I’m the apple of my parents’ eyes.
Of course they had shared their best wisdom with me . Then “What’s the 1% rest ?” I guess you will ask.

Look, if my parents agreed with me to buy an apartment in Lujiazui 10 years ago. I can quit my job and enjoy life now.

–> I don’t understand. Did they agree or did they refuse? Is this in the past or in the present? Is this a real situation or just a dream?

It’s my bad as well for I didn’t insist.  –> I don’t understand 🙁

I don’t wanna overthink the 1%. I’m gonna listen more of
what the elder have to say.
