Balance our Yin and Yang channel
Let me briefly introduce there two contrast nerves system and how they relate to our emotion and behavior.
Sympathetic nerves system and parasympathetic nervers system .
sympathetic nevers system is located at Chest area (strum) which when is activate will makes us excite, talkative , more energetic , passion and more motivation but on the other hand if overactivate will caused aggressive , restless, get angry easy that we also called it Yang in the yoga system .
Parasympathetic nerves system is located at at pelvic area ( scream) which when if activate is makes us more calm , compose , slowdown but if overactive will becomes lazy , dullness, lack of imagination and motivation , we called this Yin in the yoga system .

Normally people confront to their life or difficulty by using chest breathing unconsciously also Too many sensual stimulation will encourage sympathetic system unstable .
In yoga we are trying to balance both opposed side of nerves system by practicing asana (yoga poses ) Pranayama (breathing exercise ) and Mediation etc
So that is why taking a deep breath always works when people are angry .

But how do we know that there is one side dominate to another -Discrimination awareness is the key .
