most of shopping malls in Shanghai close the door until 10 o’clock in the evening. There are lots of 24/7 convenient stores all around the city. That’s means many stuff in these shops work very late or work the whole night. Actually, Do we really need the 24/7 shops in the city?
In Europe, the department stores close at 6 to 8 pm and don’t open on Sunday. The citizens take lots of time to cook and have dinner with their family at night. They go out for picnic or walk along the streets at the weekends. Of course the convenient stores give us huge convenience, we can buy foods or articles whenever we want. But the stuff sacrifice their health life time to do this kind of service. We create the service to make a better life, not to make the other people work too late.
