At his current level he can make some very simple sentences, using a limited vocabulary. Has not learned much grammar, and has limited understanding of sentences, structure, tenses, first and third person verbs. His Subject – Verb – Object is quite good and has some good habits. Needs to learn the vocabulary for daily life, and basic conjunctions to build sentences.
In class: simple question and answer speaking, learn daily life words and build sentences together, simple 4 step picture speaking, vocabulary cards, and Mr Bean videos. Homework: watching Mr Bean and writing simple sentences, review class notes.
After 3 months: start learning synonyms for common conjunctions and vocabulary, learn more advanced sentence structures, and start reading and writing about what he reads.
