Vocabulary

Bell (n): 1- a hollow metal object shaped like a cup that makes a ringing sound when hit by something hard, especially a clapper.
E.g.: The church bells rang out to welcome in the New Year.

Lucky Charm (n): 1- an object or person that is thought to bring good luck.
E.g.: This necklace is a lucky charm given to me by my grandmother.

Environment (n): 1- the conditions that you live or work in and the way that they influence how you feel or how effectively you can work. 2- the air, water, and land in or on which people, animals, and plants live.
E.g.: The office is quite bright and airy – it’s a pleasant working environment.

Skeptical (adj): 1- doubting that something is true or useful.
E.g.: I’m a bit skeptical about his chances of success.
