PAPER CORRECTION
I went to work this morning as usual and got a seat on the bus, I was luckier than usual. When I wanted to fetch my iPhone out of my bag to listen to the radio, I realised I left it at home. Should I go back to take it or just go through one day without it? I chose the latter.
As soon as I reached my office, I posted a notice via QQ to announce that I didn’t have my mobile phone at hand. I suggested that people contact me by sending me emails, leaving me QQ messages or calling my office number.

I immersed myself in work and almost forgot about the mobile phone thing. When I finished work and was on my way home, I felt great because even though I didn’t have my phone, it didn’t influence my daily life.

Immediately after I came home, I got my phone and found there were 8 missed calls and 20 Wechat messages which were all from one of my best friends. I sent her a message to explain what happened and got her reply at once: “You scared the hell out of me! I couldn’t help thinking that something had happened to you!” Well, this is one consequence I hadn’t anticipated.
