Vocabulary

1.maximum= the biggest
maximize (verb)
ex: i already turned the volume to the maximum.
ex: could you maximize the fan level?

2. minimum= the smallest
minimize (verb)
ex: I usually minimize the volume when I’m in class.
ex: I minimize the fan level when I go to bed.

3. wander = walk around doing nothing
ex: don’t let your mind wander.
ex: he is just wandering on the street.

4. window shopping= just walk around the shopping mall without buying anything
ex: I’m really poor recently, so I will just window shop.

5. run into= 偶遇
ex: I ran into Judy in the airport.

6. room temperature= 室温
ex: My mom doesn’t allow us to drink cold milk, she will leave the milk at room temperature.

7. take-out (noun)= 外卖
order take-out= 点外卖
ex: I eat take-out everyday because I have nothing in my fridge.
ex: How often do you order take-out? 

8. cafeteria= 食堂
ex: Google employees can eat in the cafeteria for free.
ex: I like the food in the cafeteria

9. fried rice (with egg)= (蛋)炒饭
ex: I haven’t had fried rice for a long time, so I want to eat it today.

10. labour= 人工
ex: Labour is too expensive in Canada/ America, so the delivery fee is very expensive.

I order take-out twice a week when I’m busy, or when I don’t want to eat in the cafeteria.I would order some fried rice with egg and some dimsum.

I remember I asked a girl out. When the day arrived, it was starting to pour. Suddenly I felt down.
Because I hadn’t seen her for a few months. The weather messed everything up. I had to stay at home, and hoped the sun would turn up. After fifteen minutes, The sun really came out. I was able to pick her up at bus stop and go to a park with her.

When I was walking on the road. Suddenly it was raining. I had to look for a place where I didn’t get wet. But sometimes it is hard to find a suitable place. I just ran around. Finally I ran into a shopping mall, or a small restaurant. I had to buy some stuff like a cup of drink, fried chicken, etc.
It really waste time. When the rain stopped, I went on doing the next thing.

It was really a waste of time. When the rain stopped, I went on doing other things.
