Vocabulary
Moody- When someone appears to have some kind of mood.
e.g. My room mate was being very moody today, I don’t know why.
Cranky- Someone who appears to be bothered by small things and gets a little bit mad.
e.g. My next door neighbor is a cranky old woman who screams all the time.
Morning Person- A way we describe someone who enjoys waking up in the morning.
e.g. My brother is really not a morning person, it takes him hours to wake up.
Vivid- When we describe something that feels very real.
e.g. I had a very vivid dream last night that the world ended.
Meteor- A piece of rock in outer space.
e.g. I saw a meteor shower last night, it was so beautiful.
Honk the (car) horn- When you make a sound by pressing your hand on the car’s horn.
e.g. Some people in Shanghai really like to honk their horns all the time!
Sleep paralysis- When your mind wakes up, but your body is still asleep.
e.g. I don’t like getting sleep paralysis because it is too scary.
Hallucinate- When you see or hear things that are not there.
e.g. Some people who take drugs might hallucinate and start to panic.
Suicide- When someone kills themselves. (to commit suicide)
e.g. Suicide is usually very hard for someone’s family to deal with.
