Sufficient (adj): 1- enough for a particular purpose.
E.g.: This recipe should be sufficient for five people.
E.g.: It was thought that he’d committed the crime but there wasn’t sufficient evidence to convict him.
Self-sufficient (adj): 1- able to provide everything you need, especially food, for yourself without the help of other people.
E.g.: The program aims to make the country self-sufficient in food production and to cut energy imports.
Ethics (n): 1- the study of what is morally right and wrong, or a set of beliefs about what is morally right and wrong.
E.g.: They’re completely lacking in ethics.
Ethical (n): 1- relating to beliefs about what is morally right and wrong. 2- morally right.
E.g.: There are always ethical dilemmas surrounding genetic research
E.g.: He performed a medical procedure that most people believe to be ethical.
E.g.: Europe has very varied cultural, political and ethical norms
