Vocabulary

1.melt (verb)= èžåŒ–
ex: I built a snowman and it melted the next day.
ex: If the ice melts, I will replace new ones for you.

2. case (noun)= 案例
ex: We have dealt with many cases when passengers scald themselves

3. scald (verb)= 烫伤
ex: A woman got scalded by a Mcd coffee and sued Mcd for millions of dollars.

4. burn= 烧伤
ex: I got a burn from playing with matches. ç«æŸ´

5. lid (noun)= ç›–å­
ex: It’s dangerous for passengers to open the lid of a cup of hot water.

Can you tell me about yourself? 
My name is WangYue, you can call me Chloe, I am a in-flight cabin crew for CEA, I work for CEA about 1 year 8 months. I original from JX, it’s near to GZ. I heard about Luthansa will have new routes to GZ, SZ. Before I became a cabin crew, I have two years experience at project cost management, it was lonely facing computers all the time. I love my job now because we always working as a team.

Why do you want to work for us? 
In the future, I think I will a mom, I will be a wife, if I work for Luthansa, I will have holiday to be with my family. Now I working for my company one year, I just have 5 day holiday. I want to do my job and I want to be with my family. So Luthansa is my best choice.

I like English culture and big fans of English movies and musical. I always want to be the kind of person who can speak many languages. work for Luthansa, I can use English at work and I can study German, that’s great for me.

Can you tell me a time when you solved a problem on board with passengers? 
Last flight, I have a passenger who wants to put her medicine on our fridge. But our company rule is don’t allow passenger have their own personal items in our fridge, because we need to use our eyes to serve other passengers. He was very angry, he said other companies allowed this. He asked our manager to explain everything and show he the rules. I explained to him, the medicine can be put in the fridge, because we need to serve our meal. He said you can serve meal later, and put my medicine. I gave him a bag of ice, helping him to make sure his medicine was freezing, and promised him we will change the ice if it melts, and showed him the English manual about this rule. He take it and thank you for our working.

what are your strengths working as an in-flight cabin crew?
I can multitask at work. One passenger want something, I will writing in my notes. So I can bring them what they want at the same time to many passengers. I have good temper, my colleague say “I never see you get angry”. As a Chinese cabin-crew, I know about the characteristics of Chinese passengers, I know how to protect our company and protect our passengers. For example: Chinese passenger always like asking hot water on the airplane, but plane usually have turbulence, they will open the water and wait the water get cold. Often I don’t just give them hot water, I add some cold water in it, so if they want to open the cup, at the same time they have turbulence, they don’t get hurt by themselves. We have many cases when passengers get hurt by themselves.
